Noctilucent clouds season gets underway

Noctilucent Clouds are clouds of icy dust that form at very high altitude on the edge of space, around 80km high. They are visible in June and July in the band from 45° and up to 70° north latitude. They are observed only in the dark time of day, when stars are visible in the sky.
