Russian investment in Gomel Oblast reaches $136m in 2025
GOMEL, 4 April (BelTA) – More than 500 companies with Russian capital are operating in Gomel Oblast, Governor of Gomel Oblast Ivan Krupko told BelTA.
Ivan Krupko emphasized that cooperation with Russian regions goes beyond simple trade relations: a unified industrial cooperation system is being built. “We are forming shared technological chains and strengthening the economic sovereignty of the Union State [of Belarus and Russia],” he noted.
Investment cooperation has also been growing year by year. Currently, more than 500 organizations with Russian capital operate in Gomel Oblast. In 2025, investment volume reached nearly $136 million, most of which came in the form of direct investment.
“This shows that we are trusted, that we are seen as reliable partners, and that together with us they are ready to build the future,” the governor concluded.
