Rosselkhoznadzor lifts ban on supplies for three Belarusian companies

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) - The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) believes it is possible to lift temporary restrictions on the supplies of certain types of animal products of three Belarusian companies to Russia starting from 9 November. The decision was taken following a video conference between Rosselkhoznadzor head Sergey Dankvert and Belarus' Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Subbotin, BelTA learned from the website of Rosselkhoznadzor.

The import restrictions have been lifted on products made by Slonim Meat Packing Plant (horsemeat, boneless beef and finished meat products), Volkovysk Meat Packing Plant (boneless beef and finished meat products) and Molochny Mir (whole milk products, dried milk products and butter). The products of these enterprises will be imported to Russia with an enhanced laboratory control and electronic veterinary certificates.

Aleksandr Subbotin and Sergey Dankvert discussed other issues, including those related to the supply of Belarusian products to the Russian market.
