Leather and footwear cluster might be established in Belarus 

 

MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom is considering the establishment of a leather and footwear cluster. This matter was discussed, among other things, at an extended meeting with representatives of the country's largest leather industry enterprises that was held at the Minsk Leather Production Association, BelTA learned from the light industry concern.

The participants of the meeting discussed product quality and the introduction of innovative technologies, and studied the prospects for expanding the assortment of leather goods.

The participants of the event explored the possibilities of joint projects and strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening the industry's positions and competitive ability on the global market. Other goals are import substitution and industrial cooperation.
