EDB: Inflation in Belarus is slowing down

MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ inflation rate continues to fall for second straight month, BelTA learned from the macro review of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

“In September 2025, price growth stood at 7.1% after 7.2% in August. The growth of goods prices has slowed: food inflation edged down to 9.8% in September (from 9.9% in August), while non-food inflation fell to 2.9% (from 3.2%),” the EDB said.

At the same time, services inflation rose to 7.9% in September from 7.7% in August due to higher regulated utility rates. A slowdown in core inflation was registered for the first time, falling to 7.5% in September (7.7% in August), suggesting weakening inflationary pressure.
