EAEU energy ministers to discuss common energy markets in May

MOSCOW, 24 April (BelTA) – A meeting of the EAEU Authorized Energy Authorities Council of Heads will take place on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum scheduled for 28-29 May in Astana, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) told BelTA.

“With the participation of Arzybek Kozhoshev, EEC Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure, the heads of the authorized energy bodies of EAEU member states will discuss the main vectors for developing common energy markets, including ongoing work on drafting the Union’s regulatory legal acts (electric power, gas, oil and petroleum products),” the press service noted.

“At the meeting, comprehensive approaches and compromise solutions are expected to be developed on key issues related to the formation and development of common energy markets, taking into account the launch timelines set by the heads of EAEU member states,” the EEC added.
