Chebotar: Belarus’ economy should grow faster than the world economy in 2025

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – The task of Belarus’ economy for 2025 is to grow faster than the world economy, Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar told journalists before the meeting of the Council of Ministers on 20 November, BelTA has learned.

“We set a task for next year to grow faster than the global economy. We need to restore our potential as soon as possible. We can tap into new markets, including Asian ones. Our enterprises  have significant export opportunities. Our exports are on the up and up, especially the export of services, which is particularly gratifying. Our key industries are recovering, including transport, construction services, education. We see positive dynamics in the IT industry,” said Yuri Chebotar.

Speaking about the export of goods, the minister noted that the country managed to redirect the main export flows. Sales to distant markets are growing at a higher rate.
