Belarusian MTZ supplies at least 700 units of equipment to Azerbaijan annually
MINSK, April 8 (BelTA) - Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) supplies at least 700 units of equipment to Azerbaijan annually, MTZ Director General Taras Murog told reporters during a meeting with Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ganja Auto Plant Khanlar Fatiev and an Azerbaijani delegation at the Belarusian enterprise, BelTA has learned.

Ganja Auto Plant is MTZ’s strategic partner in the Azerbaijani market. “We have been cooperating closely since 2007. Thanks to Ganja Auto Plant and its head, Khanlar Fatiev, who actively promotes our brand and represents its interests, we have strong positions in the Azerbaijani market,” Taras Murog noted.

According to him, MTZ supplies at least 700 units of equipment to Azerbaijan annually. “These are mainly tractors with 80-120 horsepower. We are significantly expanding our power range and product line, and we will discuss extending our presence in the segment of more powerful tractors in the country’s market,” Taras Murog said.

Regarding the models that are suitable for a specific market, it really depends on the particular situation. “I believe that during the negotiations we will find the niches: we will look at both small tractors for melon cultivation and more powerful ones with 350 horsepower. I am convinced that any piece of equipment will appeal to customers,” Taras Murog noted. “MTZ and Ganja Auto Plant are long-term and reliable partners.”
