Belarusian car maker BELGEE to roll out upgraded BELGEE X50+ model in April
BORISOV DISTRICT, 8 April (BelTA) – In April the Belarusian car manufacturer BELGEE will present an upgraded version of a vehicle that has received the State Quality Mark – the new BELGEE X50+ car, BelTA learned from SZAO BELGEE Director Gennady Svidersky on 8 April as Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin visited the enterprise.
“You remember that our plant received the State Quality Mark for the BELGEE X50 model. This is the most popular vehicle. It is now popular both in Belarus and in Russia. But a modernized version of this vehicle is available now: the BELGEE X50+. It features new electronics and a four-cylinder engine. In April our customers will see the new vehicle. We have already conducted all the necessary tests, and the vehicles are ready for serial deliveries,” said Gennady Svidersky.
Apart from that, BELGEE launched a new model, the Geely Cityray, on the market on 3 April. “It is now available in all showrooms. This is a vehicle built on a new platform. I believe it will appeal to our consumers,” noted the director of the enterprise.
The first quarter of this year has been successful for BELGEE. “This is the result of completing the first stage of modernization. We have increased production volumes compared to last year. We have increased export. There is strong demand in the Russian market. Among the most significant events in the Belarusian market is the increase in demand and sales of electric vehicles and hybrids. Going forward, we plan to carry out the current government instruction: to organize the second stage of modernization,” Gennady Svidersky outlined.
