Belarus signs agreement with Sudan on export credit provision
MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) - A framework agreement on the provision of export credits has been signed between the government of Belarus and the government of Sudan, BelTA has learned.
The document establishes the legal and financial basis for financing the supply of Belarusian goods (including works and services) to Sudan.
The document was signed by Belarusian Deputy Industry Minister Leonid Ryzhkovsky, and Sudanese Advisor and State Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Mohammed Nour Abdel-Daim.
The Development Bank of Belarus will act as the creditor.
Additionally, a memorandum of intent was signed between the Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry (Belneftekhim) and the Ministry of Energy of Sudan. The document was signed by Belneftekhim Deputy Chairman Vladimir Sizov, and Sudanese Minister of Energy Elmutasim Ibrahim Ahmed Ali.
The parties agreed to jointly process and interpret geological exploration data from Sudanese fields using the Belorusneft Production Enterprise as a base. The agreement also includes professional training for Sudanese specialists at the International Business Academy of Belorusneft.
