Belarus, Saudi Arabia to set up trade promotion structure

MINSK, 9 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Saudi Arabia will set up a coordinating structure to promote bilateral trade, BelTA learned from the National Center for Marketing.

 

During his business trip to Saudi Arabia, Director of the National Center for Marketing Nikolai Borisevich held a number of fruitful meetings with local trade promotion structures, the center informed. In particular, negotiations were held with the heads of the Saudi Export Development Authority, the Federation for Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

As a result of the meetings, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the National Center for Marketing and the Federation for Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

 

Agreements were reached on arranging business contacts in specific areas and on creating a coordinating structure to promote mutual trade.

 

Special attention was paid to the exchange of marketing information and information about ongoing exhibitions. The parties also considered holding a number of joint events to stimulate bilateral trade, the center added.
