Belarus ranks third in CIS for outstanding corporate bond volume
MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) - Belarus ranks third in the CIS in terms of the volume of corporate bonds in circulation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Finance Ministry.
Representatives of the Securities Department participated via videoconference in the 29th meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies for Securities Market Regulation.
The press service emphasized that based on the results of 2025, Belarus firmly holds third place in terms of outstanding corporate bond volume, trailing only Russia and Kazakhstan.
The agenda included new opportunities for capital raising: improving securitization, introducing Islamic financial instruments, and developing responsible (ESG) investing.
Among the key tasks for 2026–2027 are harmonizing tax legislation, countering financial pyramids, enhancing financial literacy among the population, developing cross-exchange trading, and expanding the range of investment instruments.
All of this is aimed at a single goal: making the market even more attractive to investors and more reliable for all participants, the Finance Ministry stressed.
