Belarus outlines major agricultural investment projects for 2021-2025

MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) - The Agriculture and Food Ministry has identified promising and important investment projects to be implemented within the framework of the state program "Agrarian Business" for 2021-2025, BelTA learned from the ministry's website.

The lists features 32 projects: 16 are to be implemented in Vitebsk Oblast, two projects – in Vitebsk Oblast and Gomel Oblast (each), one – in Grodno Oblast and Mogilev Oblast (each), and 10 projects – in Minsk Oblast.

Thus, in 2021 Druzhba Poultry Factory, Baranovichi District, plans to reconstruct the pedigree breeding unit. OAO Vitebskmyasmolprom is set to build a pig breeding unit for 5,000 head, a feed plant and a grain depot near the village of Goryany, Orsha District. This year, Vitebskagroprodukt company will build a grain cleaning and drying complex with a capacity of 100 tonnes per hour with a grain storage complex.

Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory is planning to build a broiler shop, a slaughter and processing plant, to reconstruct a feed plant and to implement other projects. Lidakhleboprodukt intends to reconstruct a pig farm into a poultry farm.

Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky is set to run several projects at once. In particular, the company plans to scale up turkey farming with a view to producing 6,000 tonnes of turkey meat per year, to set up a complex of poultry houses to rear broiler parent stock and an incubation facility, as well as a facility to grow parent stock of cattle, to build a premix production line in the Negorelsky branch and a number of other projects.

The list features a project of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation to launch high-tech full-cycle agro-industrial production. The project will be running till 2032.

The resolution comes into force after its publication.
