ALGIERS, 2 December (BelTA) – Belarus has secured the right to freely sell its dairy products in Algeria, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov told journalists in Algiers, BelTA reports.

“We acknowledge that at present the supplies of milk powder, whey, and similar goods form the foundation of our trade with Algeria, and these are truly significant volumes,” the foreign minister remarked. “Thanks to the work carried out with the Algerian side and the support of the Algerian president, we have succeeded in obtaining certification for all our dairy products, enabling us to trade here without obstacles.”

“In recent days, a decision has also been made to include baby formula in this certification, which likewise opens up substantial prospects,” the foreign minister added.

He clarified that this primarily concerns wholesale deliveries, with subsequent packaging in Algeria for sale both on the domestic market and in other countries across the region.
