Belarus' Council of Ministers' working group to focus on Belarusian-Russian cooperation

MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) – A working group on topical issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation has been established by the relevant executive order of the prime minister of Belarus. The working group will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko, BelTA has learned.

The working group has been authorized to shape a stance on topical aspects of Belarus-Russia cooperation and submit proposals on resolving issues in these relations to the Belarusian government. The working group will work out draft legislation if need be.

The working group will also have to establish interaction with the Russian government's working group on Russian-Belarusian relations.

The working group includes representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Academy of Sciences, the Healthcare Ministry, the Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the Transport and Communications Ministry, the Internal Affairs Ministry, the State Customs Committee, the Energy Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Tax and Duties Ministry, the State Security Committee, the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim, the Agriculture and Food Ministry, and the Economy Ministry.
