MOSCOW, 30 December (BelTA) – Belarus is one of the leading suppliers of goods within the framework of state procurement in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This is stated in the annual analytical review State (Municipal) Procurement of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) told BelTA.

The review notes that in 2024, the volume of state procurement within the EAEU amounted to $143.5 billion, 73.9% of which were procurements of goods (work, services) from the EAEU states, and 26.1% were procurements from third countries. A total of 5.6 million procurement procedures were conducted, with nearly 70% carried out electronically, indicating a high level of digitalization in this area across the EAEU. The share of competitive procedures exceeded 50% of all procedures conducted and grew by 2.3%.

“In general, mutual deliveries of goods (work, services) within the framework of EAEU state procurement in 2024 amounted to $728.7 million. The leaders in mutual deliveries are goods (work, services) from Russia, accounting for 46.5% of the total volume of cross-border trade in state procurement, and from Belarus with 28.4%,” the EEC stated.
