MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) - Pyeongchang Olympic champion in ladies' singles Alina Zagitova had a practice session at Minsk Arena ahead of the ISU European Figure Skating Championships, BelTA has learned.
The practice session lasted for about an hour. Alina Zagitova practiced various elements which she will show in the short program on 23 January. The Olympic champion noted good quality of the ice and said that she will aim for the highest results. Her main rivals will be young Russian athletes Stanislava Konstantinova and Sofia Samodurova.
The ladies' singles event will last for two days: short program on 23 January and free skating on 25 January. The medalists will be named on 25 January.
