William Accambray signs with HC Meshkov Brest

BREST, 10 May (BelTA) – HC Meshkov Brest has signed a one-season contract with well-known French handball player William Accambray, BelTA learned from the official website of the club.

The contract will take effect in July.

William Accambray was born in Cannes, France on 8 April 1988. The playing position is left back. William Accambray played 196 games and scored 665 goals in the elite French Division. He played for Hungary's Veszprem KC. This season he is playing for RK Celje (Slovenia). As part of the French national team William Accambray won the 2012 Olympic Games, became three-time world champion and won the European championships. William Accambray is a holder of the Legion of Honor, the highest decoration in France.

“We are happy to reach the agreement with William Accambray. Such a player will make our team stronger. We are looking to his winning experience. It is important that William Accambray is a universal player. He is equally good both in defense and offense,” said the sports director of HC Meshkov Brest Pavel Bashkin.
