MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – Vyacheslav Durnov has been confirmed as chef de mission of the Belarusian delegation at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee.
The candidacy of the First Deputy Sport and Tourism Minister for the position of the chef de mission was approved at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee.
The NOC Executive Committee also approved the results of the performance of the organziation and permanent commissions for 2019.
The Summer Olympic Games will take place in the Japanese capital on 24 July – 9 August 2020. The Japanese capital will host the Olympic Games for the second time. It first hosted them in October 1964.
