Vladimir Samsonov out of 2019 ITTF Men's World Cup

MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – Belarus' Vladimir Samsonov lost to Austria's Daniel Habesohn 3-4 (8-11, 9-11, 11-7, 10-12, 11-5, 11-7, 5-11) in the second match of the group stage at the 2019 ITTF Men's World Cup which is underway in Chengdu, China, BelTA has learned.

In the Group A opener, Vladimir Samsonov lost to Germany's Dimitrij Ovtcharov 2-4 (8-11, 5-11, 11-7, 7-11, 11-7, 6-11). Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Daniel Habesohn have advanced to the round of last 16.

Vladimir Samsonov won the event in 1999, 2001, and 2009.

The tournament in Chengdu will be over on 1 December.
