MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) - Belarusian Vera Lapko has advanced to the quarterfinals of 2018 Samsung Open in Lugano, Switzerland, BelTA has learned.
In today's Round of 16 singles, Vera Lapko beat Danka Kovinic of Montenegro (6-2, 6-3).
Another Belarusian, Aliaksandra Sasnovich will face Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens in the Round of 16. Arina Sabalenka has earlier made it to the quarterfinal.
The women's doubles quarterfinal will see the Belarusians Vera Lapko and Arina Sabalenka take on the Australian-Swiss duo Monique Adamczak/Xenia Knoll who have earlier beaten Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Mihaela Buzarnescu (Belarus/Romania).
At the men's tournament in Houston, the United States Max Mirnyi and Philipp Oswald (Belarus/Austria) will face Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan (USA).
