MINSK, 4 July (BelTA) - Belarusian Anastasiya Vaskevich renewed the national record in the 200m butterfly at Belarus Open Cup in Brest, BelTA learned from the swimming federation.
Belarus' best result now stands at 2.14:73. The previous record was set by Anna Kopachenya (2.15:20) in 2004. Among the winners of Belarus' Open Cup are the strongest national team swimmers: Ilya Shymanovich, Yauhen Tsurkin, Mikita Tsmyh, Kanstantsin Kurachkin.
The Open Cup features 271 athletes from Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland and Latvia. Belarus Open Cup will finish on 6 July.
