NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – The 2nd European Games have created an atmosphere of celebration in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Ukrainian reporter Igor Chemeris.
The reporter said: “I come to Belarus from time to time. Seven years ago was the last time I came to Minsk. Due to the large amount of work I have not been able to see places of interest yet. I am stuck at sport venues most of the time. Nevertheless, I can strongly feel that the games have created an atmosphere of celebration in Minsk. The city is beautiful, well-kept, and clean. It has excellent infrastructure. It lives and breathes the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019. I think Belarus is capable of hosting Olympic games as well.”
The Ukrainian boxing coach Vitaly Znak pointed out the excellent organization of competitions and good conditions for the accommodation of athletes. “I am pleasantly surprised by how much is being done for the athletes: accommodation, transportation, and meals are beyond reproach. The competitions kept up their end. The boxing tournament has some very competitive fights. We will try to bring as many medals as possible back to Ukraine,” he said.
The 2nd European Games are taking place in Minsk through 30 June. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries are taking part in the games. The competitions are taking place at 12 sport venues.
