NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) - UAE Team registered a convincing victory over Team China at the 16th edition of the Christmas International Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament for the Prize of the President of Belarus in Minsk on 3 January, BelTA has learned.
Already in the first period, UAE hockey players made it clear who was going to win the game by scoring 8 times and allowing only one. The final result was 17-11. On 4 January, China Team will take on Balkans Team in Group B. On Sunday, 5 January, Balkans Team will play UAE Team.
Ukraine beat Switzerland 4-1 in today's match in Group C.
Tonight, Belarus President's Team, playing in Group A, will face IIHF Team. Group D will see Germany Team take on Baltics Team.
The competitions are held at the Chizhovka Arena. The organizers of the tournament are the President's Sports Club, the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, the Sports and Tourism Ministry, and the Minsk City Hall.
