Three Belarusians eligible for 2020 NHL Entry Draft

MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Three Belarusian players have made it into the list of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.

NHL Central Scouting Bureau's List includes defenseman Danila Palivko of Lethbridge Hurricanes, defenseman Ilya Solovyov of Saginaw Spirit (OHL), and forward Ilya Usov of Prince Albert Raiders (WHL).

All three Belarusians have made it into Group C. According to specialists of the Bureau, players from this list can be selected in the 4th-6th rounds.

Danila Palivka has 5 points (5 assists) in 21 games this season. Ilya Solovyov has 21 (one goal and 20 assists) points in 17 games. Ilya Usov has 18 (seven goals and 11 assists) points in 20 games.

The NHL Entry Draft is an annual event in which every franchise of the National Hockey League (NHL) selects the rights to available ice hockey players who meet draft eligibility requirements. The NHL Entry Draft is held once every year, generally within two to three months after the conclusion of the previous season. The event is held in seven rounds.
