Tatsiana Khaladovich wins gold in Germany

MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Belarusian athlete Tatsiana Khaladovich won gold at the Javelin Speerwurf-Festival in Jena, Germany, BelTA has learned.

One of the leaders of the season threw 62.93m. On 6 June, at the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Rome, the Belarusian finishing out of the podium throwing 61.32m.

In Germany, Tatsiana Khaladovich prevailed and moved from third to first with her last round effort of 62.93m. Germany's Christin Hussong had gone throughout the competition in the lead with 62.40m but could not respond and finished second. Annu Rani from India placed third with 60.46m.

Tatsiana Khaladovich makes part of Athletics Team Belarus at the 2nd European Games in Minsk. Athletics competitions will take place in a new format, Dynamic New Athletics (DNA), at Dinamo Stadium on 23-28 June. Taking part in the competitions will be 24 teams.

Teams will compete in the following disciplines: 100m women, 100m men, 100m Hurdles women, 110m Hurdles men, Javelin Throw (women, men), Long Jump (women, men), High Jump men, 4 x 400m - Mixed Relay (2 women & 2 men), and The Hunt - Mixed Medley Relay (2 women & 2 men).
