Sharamkou wins silver in the Vault at universiade in Napoli

MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) - Belarusian Yahor Sharamkou won the silver medal in the Vault at the 30th World Summer Universiade in Napoli, Italy, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian gymnast scored 14,350 points. Kim Han-sol of South Korea placed first (14,650) and Luis Porto from Brazil third (14,350).

This is the second medal for Team Belarus in Napoli. Belarusian swimmer Grigori Pekarski won a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly.

The Summer Universiade which is running in Nepali on 3-14 July features about 8,000 athletes from 170 countries who will compete in 222 medal sets. Belarus won nine medals at the previous Summer Universiade in Taipei: three gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
