NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – The Hague hosted a draw ceremony for the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Qualifiers between the teams of Belarus and the Netherlands, BelTA has learned.
Aliaksandra Sasnovich will open the 2020 Fed Cup Netherlands vs Belarus qualifier against Kiki Bertens at Sportcampus Zuiderpark on 7 February.
Rubber 2 will feature Aryna Sabalenka and Arantxa Rus.
Two singles rubbers will be held on 8 February: Aryna Sabalenka vs Kiki Bertens and Aliaksandra Sasnovich vs Arantxa Rus. Rubber 5 will see Olga Govortsova and Lidziya Marozava of Belarus vs Demi Schuurs and Lesley Kerkhove of the Netherlands.
Captains Tatiana Poutchek and Paul Haarhuis are eligible to make replacements on competition day 2.
Belarus and the Netherlands faced each other four times in the Fed Cup campaign, with the Netherlands leading 3-1. Belarus go 5th in the Fed Cup Nations Ranking, the Netherlands is 19th.
The winner of the coming match will advance to the Fed Cup final which is due in Budapest on 9-14 April.
