MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – Belarus' Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Viktoria Kuzmova of Slovakia lost 1-6, 4-6 to the U.S. duo of Jessica Pegula and Shelby Rogers in the US Open doubles opener, BelTA has learned.
Earlier, Victoria Azarenka and Sofia Kenin of the United States defeated the Australian duo of Ellen Perez and Storm Sanders 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 in an hour and 30 minutes.
Aryna Sabalenka and Belgium's Elise Mertens needed just 50 minutes to see off the Australian-U.S. tandem of Arina Rodionova and Sabrina Santamaria 6-2, 6-0.
