MINSK, 9 January (BelTA) – Belarus' Aliaksandra Sasnovich (No.33) scored her second victory at the Sydney International, BelTA has learned.
In the second-round match against Priscilla Hon (161) of Australia Aliaksandra Sasnovich lost the first set 0-6, the first two games in the second but managed to get hold of the match and prevailed 6-3. The Belarusian did not lose confidence in the deciding set and snatched the victory 6-3.
In the first-round match, Aliaksandra Sasnovich ousted Russia's Daria Kasatkina (No.10) 6:1, 6:4.
To make the last four, Aliaksandra Sasnovich will have to move past Timea Bacsinszky (No.192) of Switzerland.
