MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 11 Aryna Sabalenka has been nominated for the WTA October 2018 Player of the Month, BelTA has learned from the website of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).
Among other nominees are also World No.3 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark, Ukraine's world number 4 Elina Svitolina, and the U.S. world number 6 Sloane Stephens.
Aryna Sabalenka was named the September 2018 Player of the Month. The WTA Player of the Month title was won this year by Romania's Simona Halep in January and May, Czech Petra Kvitova in Februayr and June, Japan's Naomi Osaka in March and August, Czech Karolina Pliskova in April and Germany's Angelique Kerber in July.
Votes for the one of the nominees for the October 2018 Player of the Month can be cast on the WTA website. The winner will be announced on 9 November.
