MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) - Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus and Belgium's Elise Mertens have cruised to their first title as a duo at the BNP Paribas Open, BelTA has learned.
The unseeded Belgian and Belarusian duo defeated No.1 seeds Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.
In the semifinal the Belarusian-Belgian duo saw off Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada and Xu Yifan of China 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).
