NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE

MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) – Belarus' Aryna Sabalenka and Belgium's Elise Mertens reached the 2020 Australian Open women's doubles quarterfinal, seeing off the Russian-American duet of Veronika Kudermetova and Alison Riske 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 in one hour and 54 minutes, BelTA has learned.
Belarus' Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Viktoria Kuzmova of Slovakia are to face the Hungarian-French tandem of Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic for a berth in the quarterfinal.
The tournament, which is the first of the four Grand Slam tennis events of the season, will be over on 2 February.
