Sabalenka 13th in WTA rankings, Gerasimov 65th in ATP

MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus goes 13th in the latest WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

Last week Aryna Sabalenka reached the Dubai 2020 quarterfinal. The Belarusian has now a total of 2,815 points. Former world number one Victoria Azarenka is 51st with 1,051 points. Aliaksandra Sasnovich is 119th with 542 points, Olga Govortsova - 142nd with 433 points.

This week Aryna Sabalenka will start her Qatar 2020 run from the second round. She will open either against Estonia's world number 22 Anett Kontaveit or Latvia's world number 40 Anastasija Sevastova.

WTA Top Ten:

1. Ashleigh Barty (Australia) – 8,367 points

2. Simona Halep (Romania) – 6,076

3. Carolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) – 5,200 Naomi Osaka (Japan) – 5,496

After reaching the Open 13 Provence quarterfinal in Marseille Belarus' Egor Gerasimov went up to his career best 65th spot in the ATP rankings with the total of 809 points. Ilya Ivashka of Belarus goes 133rd with 406 points, Uladzimir Ignatik is 101st with 366 points.
