MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – Ryan Spooner of Canada has signed a new one-year contract with HC Dinamo Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of club.
The Bisons will have its best forward of the previous season for one more year. The Canadian player scored 37 (10+27) points in 43 matches as part of HC Dinamo Minsk in the KHL.
Ryan Spooner started his playing career with Canada's Ottawa Senators Minor Midget AAA. He then joined the Peterborough Petes for 2008-2011. In 2010 he played for the Canadian U18 national team at the world championship hosted by Belarus.
He debuted in the National Hockey League (NHL) in 2012-2013. He played a total of 325 matches representing the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks scoring 167 (48+119) points. Ryan Spooner scored 142(41+101) points in 157 matches in the AHL.
The Canadian forward played two matches for HC Lugano (Switzerland) in the 2019-2020 season before moving to HC Dinamo Minsk.
