ROC secretary general: We are ready to share experience with sports federations of partner countries

MINSK, 31 January (BelTA) - Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Rodion Plitukhin held a working meeting with representatives of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus and the Belarusian Shooting Sports Federation, BelTA learned from the press service of the NOC of Belarus.

The Belarusian delegation comprised Chairman of the Belarusian Shooting Sports Federation Sergei Dudko, Head of the International Relations Department of the NOC of Belarus Vasily Yurchik, and Head Coach of the Belarusian national shooting team Viktoria Chaika. The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations, including measures to support athletes, coaches and specialists in shooting sports, taking into account the experience of cooperation at the level of national Olympic committees and sports federations.

Rodion Plitukhin praised the contribution of heads of the Russian Olympic Committee and the NOC of Belarus Stanislav Pozdnyakov and Viktor Lukashenko to establishing trustworthy and effective relations between the two countries in sports.

“We have common tasks, which are to develop the Olympic movement on the territory of our friendly countries, to involve young people in physical education and sports, to create conditions for self-realization, which is especially important in the current difficult situation,” the secretary general of the Russian Olympic Committee said. “We are ready to share all the opportunities that the Russian Olympic Committee has with our counterparts from sport federations in partner countries.”

Sergei Dudko also spoke about the meeting with representatives of the Shooting Union of Russia that took place earlier and expressed his hope for the fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation with Russian counterparts with the involvement of the Russian Olympic Committee.
