Raubichi bids to host 2025 IBU World Championships

MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian Winter Olympic Center Raubichi has made a bid to host the IBU World Championships in 2025, BelTA learned from the official Instagram account of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).

IBU has announced the bids it received for the IBU World Championships Biathlon in 2024 and 2025. Nove Mesto, the Czech Republic seeks to host the event in 2024. Apart from Raubichi, Lenzerheide, Switzerland and Nove Mesto, the Czech Republic would like to host the 2025 edition.

The hosts of both events will be selected at the 14th Ordinary IBU Congress in Prague, the Czech Republic in November.

Raubichi hosted the World Biathlon Championships in 1974, 1982, and 1990.
