Ramanouskaya wins Aerials gold at 2019 Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk

KRASNOYARSK, 4 March (BelTA) - Aliaksandra Ramanouskaya of Belarus won the Ladies' Aerials gold at the 29th Winter Universiade which is underway in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, BelTA has learned.

The competitions were held in the multi-purpose sport center Sopka.

The Belarusian got 100.29 points to top the podium. Silver went to Russia's Lyubov Nikitina (91.29 points). Bronze was collected by Zhanbota Aldabergenova from Kazakhstan (79.38 points).

Aliaksandra Ramanouskaya also won gold at the 2019 FIS World Championships in Utah, the United States.

In the Men's Aerials Belarus' Vyacheslav Timertsev finished 4th with the total of 86.01 points. Russia's Maxim Burov claimed gold with 119.91 points. Silver went to China's Li Zhonglin (87.77 points). Russia's Ruslan Katmanov of Russia took bronze with 87.77 points.

The Belarusian athletes will compete in the mixed team aerials on 4 March.

The Universiade which is running from 2 to 12 March will have 76 medal events in 11 sports: biathlon, Alpine skiing, curling, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, ski orienteering, figure skating, freestyle, ice hockey, bandy and short track speed skating. Competing in the sport forum are about 3,000 athletes from more than 50 countries.
