MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) - The National Olympic Committee has unveiled a new Olympic brand of Team Belarus - Team BY, BelTA has learned.
“Many countries run similar projects: the United States, Germany, the UK, Lithuania. We will implement the Team BY brand in 2019-2020. During the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo the Belarusian athletes will have the new Team BY outfit,” said Vitaly Ostrovsvsky, a leading marketing expert at the NOC, the author of the brand.
A key element of the Team BY logo is a stork. Blue-light blue colors of the logo refer to the brand “Blue-eyed Belarus” and are an important part of the culture and traditions of the Belarusian nation. Team BY already got its mascot.
During the presentation the NOC and Rakuten Viber signed a cooperation agreement. The NOC of Belarus became the first among 206 national Olympic committees to launch the official community. The partnership agreement was signed by Andrei Astashevich, First Vice President of Belarus NOC, and Atanas Raykov, Director Business Development CIS and CEE at Viber.
