
BESHENKOVICHI, 14 December (BelTA) – A multi-purpose sports ground built with the support of the Belarus President's Sport Club opened in Beshenkovichi on 14 December, BelTA has learned.
The sports ground features horizontal bars, outdoor fitness equipment, a punching bag made of car tires, a basketball court and others. The sports ground is located in the central park of Beshenkovichi. It will be open both to athletes and residents of the district center. Nearby there is a stadium and secondary school No.2, whose students will visit the new sports facility with great pleasure. Playing sports such as volleyball, basketball, and also skiing are popularized in the area, and for young fans of a healthy lifestyle the new sports ground will be very useful.







This is the second facility in Beshenkovichi District opened with the financial assistance of the Belarus President's Sport Club. The first one was opened in the village of Ulla. The sports ground also caters for people with disabilities, including wheelchair users. The project needed sone Br50,000, Br40,000of which was provided by the Belarus President's Sport Club. The sports ground was completed within a month.


According to Chairperson of the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee Galina Unukovich, for all residents of Beshenkovichi the new sports ground was a real gift, especially as the district center marks its 575th anniversary. “We would like to thank Dmitry Lukashenko, Chairman of the Central Council of the Belarus President's Sport Club for the help,” the head of the district said.
