Mirnyi named guest of honor at 2019 ATP Finals

MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – Max Mirnyi of Belarus has been invited to the 2019 ATP Finals in London as a guest of honor, BelTA learned from Nikolai Mirnyi, Belarus' Honored Coach, the father of the Olympic champion.

“We have been invited to the 2019 ATP Finals in London. The event will also include an awards ceremony. Max will be awarded for his contribution to tennis. Of course, he deserved it with his results in the international arena. I also think that this is a token of respect not only to him but also to the whole Belarusian tennis,” Nikolai Mirnyi said.

42-year-old Max Mirnyi is the 2012 London Olympic champion (mixed doubles) and the winner of six Grand Slam tournaments in doubles. The 2018 ATP Finals was won by Germany's Alexander Zverev (singles) and Mike Bryan of the United States and Jack Sock of the United States (doubles). The 2019 ATP Finals will run from 11 to 17 November.
