MINSK, 2 January (BelTA) - The final of the national junior ice hockey competition Golden Puck in the 14-16 age group for the prize of the President of Belarus in Division A will be held at Chizhovka Arena and the Palace of Sports, Minsk on 3-7 January, BelTA has learned.
The national junior ice hockey competition Golden Puck will be running simultaneously with the Christmas amateur ice hockey tournament for the prize of the President of Belarus. The young players will attend the opening ceremony of the Christmas tournament. Winners and prizewinners of the Golden Puck tournament will receive awards from the ice hockey legends during the closing ceremony. The kids will also attend the matches involving the Belarus president team and the KHL games of HC Dinamo Minsk vs Saint Petersburg SKA (4 January) and CSKA Moscow (6 January). They will also visit the Museum of the Great Patriotic War.
A total of 143 teams and 2,452 players took part in the preliminary stage of Division A. Each region delegated the winner and Minsk delegated the winner and the finalist of the preliminary stage.

In the first game, Shakhtyor Soligorsk will take on Grodno's Prinemanskiye Yastreby (10.30). the defending champions Griffons will meet Zhlobin's Metallurg in the opener (15.30).
