NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – Minsk will play host to the European Athletics Team Championships Super League in 2021, BelTA learned from the official website of the European Athletics Federation.
The tournament is due to take place in the capital of Belarus on 19-20 June 2021. Competing will be nine best European athletics teams. Apart from Belarus, Dinamo Stadium will welcome athletes from Poland, France, Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, Ukraine and Portugal.
The competition is expected to showcase many of Europe's leading athletes who will use the event not only to defend their nation's honor in the world's premier athletics team competition but also use the event as part of their preparations for the Olympic Games later in the season.
In 2019, Minsk played host to The Match Europe v USA. The event that took place at the Dinamo National Olympic Stadium on 9-10 September was won by Team Europe that also featured 14 Belarusian athletes who contributed 63 points to the total tally.
