MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – Belarus have reached the Women's 3x3 basketball semifinal at the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
In the first quarterfinal on 24 June the Belarusians secured a 15-11 win over the Netherlands. Yuri Volk's team dominated throughout the game. Belarus will next face the winner of Estonia vs the Czech Republic match.
Other quarterfinals will feature Germany vs Spain and France vs Russia.
In the men's event Belarus will play Serbia for a berth in the semifinal. If the Belarusian team succeed, they will face the winner of Latvia vs France. The other quarterfinals will feature Lithuania vs Poland and the Czech Republic vs Russia.
The competitions are underway at Palova Arena near Minsk Sports Palace. Champions and medalists will be named on 24 June.
