MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – Belarusian cyclist Alena Amialiusik finished fifth in the Women's Time Trial at the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian covered the distance of 28.6km in 37:46.18. Tatsiana Sharakova of Belarus, who won the Women's Road Race bronze, crossed the finish line 10th in 38:45.23.
Marlen Reusser of Switzerland won the event in 36:17.41. Silver went to Chantal Blaak of the Netherlands (37:42.34). Hayley Simmonds of the UK collected bronze in 37:44.57. Competing were 29 athletes.
The Men's Time Trial is scheduled for 13h00. Vasil Kiryienka and Branislau Samoilau will compete for Belarus.
Track cycling events will start at Minsk Arena on Thursday, 27 June.
