MINSK, 13 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Lidziya Marozava and Russia's Yana Sizikova have reached the quarterfinal of the women's doubles event in Prague, BelTA has learned.
In the first round the Belarusian-Russian duo was to play the Romanian tandem of Ana Bogdan and Patricia Maria Tig, but the rivals could not hit the court. Today in the quarterfinal match Lidziya Marozava and Yana Sizikova will play another Romanian duo of Monica Niculescu and Ioana Raluca Olaru. In the opener the Romanian players defeated the Norway-France tandem of Ulrikke Eikeri and Elixane Lechemia 1-6, 6-3, 12-10.
The tournament in the Czech capital will be over on Sunday, 16 August.
