Kravchenya, Savina win 10,000m event in Minsk

MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – Sergei Kravchenya and Nina Savina won the 10,000m event at the National Athletics Olympic Center. The competitions were held as part of the Belarusian Athletics Championships, BelTA has learned.

Sergei Kravchenya clocked 29:20.86 to take gold. Second was Stsiapan Rahautsou (29:24.21). Uladzislau Pramau finished third (29:46.76).

Nina Savina won the women's event in 33:17.53. Second was Sviatlana Kudzelich (33:20). Bronze went to Katsiaryna Karneyenka (33:26.39).

The shot-put event on 28 July was won by Aliaksei Nichypar (20.42m) and Aliona Dubitskaya (19.19m).

The Belarusian Athletics Championships are due to take place at Dinamo Stadium in Minsk on 31 July – 2 August.
