MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk defeated HC Riga Minsk 3-2 in overtime in the KHL regular-season match on 26 December, BelTA has learned.
Minsk opened the scoring in the second minute on a power play goal from Brennan Menell, and Alexander Kogalev extended the lead late in the first period.
Three minutes into the middle stanza Riga narrowed the gap through Gleb Zyryanov. Early in the third Denis Parshin leveled off. Minsk, however, regained control of the game and to it into overtime where Menell's second of the night decided the outcome.
