
MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) - Judokas of Belarus and Russia are determined to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in 2023. The matter was discussed at a meeting between President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko and Head of the Russian Judo Federation Sergey Soloveichik in Minsk on 22 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the NOC of Belarus.
The parties discussed joint projects implemented last year. Belarusian and Russian judokas held joint training camps and competitions in both countries, and took part in a number of international competitions.
According to Viktor Lukashenko, for Belarusian athletes participation in the tournaments together with Russian athletes helps improve their skills and achieve better results. Sergey Soloveichik thanked the NOC of Belarus for supporting judo and expressed confidence in closer cooperation between Belarusians and Russians in this sport.
