MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarusian world number 74 Ilya Ivashka progressed to the Monte Carlo masters round of Last 32, seeing off world number 28 Dan Evans of the UK, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 in an hour and 54 minutes, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian will next face Russia's world number 12 Karen Khacharov.
Ilya Ivashka reached the main draw defeating France's world number 104 Hugo Gaston, 6-4, 6-4 and world number 98 Taro Daniel of Japan, 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 6-2, in the qualifying.
The tournament in Monte Carlo will be over on 16 April.
